Filter Forge

A colleague of mine (thanks Jim) recently brought the Filter Forge software to my attention. Very, very cool. A software plugin for Photoshop that allows you to create your own filters. It also comes with several custom filters built-in. Currently in the BETA testing phase, I eagerly await the final release, and am hoping to get in on the BETA testing myself.

Why is this so cool? You can just make actions right? Well, this is more than that, it has way more interactivity than what you can do with actions, and the ability to preview, without applying, the filters is great. On top of that, you can actually submit custom filters that you create to Filter Forge as they have an online library of user filters. You can even get Filter Forge for free depending on your level of contribution and the usage popularity of the filters you submit.

If you love playing with Photoshop filters, and have always wanted to create your own, then definitely check this product out and join in the fun.
